Zeta Omega Chapters Scholarship Committee will be awarding three $1,000 scholarships to academically talented African-American male students who possess an accumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or above. If providing an application to a student, inform them that in addition to their completed applications, students will need to send a copy of their high school transcripts, proof of their ACT and/or SAT scores and an acceptance letter to an accredited four year institution. Urge your applicants to pay strict attention to the rules of the application, in that they will be strictly enforced.
Ultimately, the students will be evaluated based on the above listed criteria, their typed application, essay, leadership potential, social involvement and a panel interview conducted by Scholarship Committee members.
All typed applications must be post-marked no later than April 15, 2011. Applications will be reviewed by April 25, 2011 by members of our Scholarship Committee. Letters acknowledging matriculation to the finalist level as well as letters of regret will be sent to the students. Finalist interviews will be conducted at the Zeta Omega fraternity house, located at 15435 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio on May 14, 2011, at a time to be later determined. If a change is made to the date and/or the location of the interviews, an email will be sent to you to inform the student of this change. Students will need to be dressed appropriately for their interview, including a shirt, tie and a suit/sport coat.
